Like a superstructure, it exists beyond authority as a leaderless imposition, a kind of blind power, an emergent form of oppression void of any opportunity to be negotiated. There is no agency to address, no source, no origin, no authority or intention to blame. It is subtle but all engulfing, determinant, with the qualities of entities that exist at the boundary of our spatial and temporal scope. Like air, it is invisible and ether-like. As such, it is omnipresent and beyond reach of influence, thus revealing the resulting apathy in our encounter with fields of this kind. Even at the threshold of attention, when violently present, it passes acceptance and remains unaddressed.
