SCULPTURE AS WRITING / SELECTION MVDR

one-on-one readings, prints on paper

Selection MvdR is a series of new works that belong to the archive Sculpture as Writing, an archive on architectural space, social space, and time.

Selection MvdR engages with the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, designed by Mies van der Rohe – the site, the architecture, and the adjoining garden.

Selection MvdR is conducted as a performative reading during the three days of the festival.

At specific times, the artist will read a text to a participant or visitor of the Festival of Future Nows. These one-to-one readings will take place both inside and outside of the building over the course of the festival’s three days.

Sculpture as Writing is an archive authored by Kirsten Palz that started in 2007. The archive contains approximately 330 works, including texts, performances, three-dimensional objects, and drawings.
