Collections is not to be finished. The pleasure lies in the gaps, open ends, in addition, and in finding ways to present the various readings and meanings they allow. In this piece, the body is an archive being activated and expanded continuously. Collections is a body constantly remaking and reorganising itself to assimilate – and to produce – new gestures, sounds, and relations to personal and collective spaces. Like memory or matter, the work is a continuous process, sliding through temporal and emotional layers, resisting a passive deposition of influences.
