Aluminum poles, tripods

A tangent is placed onto the curvature of planet Earth. Two precisely aligned poles are placed at a distance from each other to form one single line: a tangent that only touches ground at its center. A perfect tangent only exists in theory. Every plane, every landing strip and even light bends with distance and follows the Earth’s curvature. The tangent’s end in the foyer of the museum is a visible section of a much bigger construction, the playful attempt to overcome one of life’s most existential and elementary forces: gravity.

Intervention / Temporäre Skulptur
Aluminiumstangen, Stative
