Display Distribute is a thematic investigation, distribution service, exhibition space and sometimes shop based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. Exportation to Berlin is not necessarily a question of movement but rather in this instance a durational tactic of merely staying in place. Incoming packages, crates and parcels build up, turning the museum into a port of entry, docking ground and ten-day sublet. Artistic services and logistics gone awry engage the administrative and institutional as a question of multi-functionality. From the midst of a Festival into the middle of a Fair, this anti-spectacular moment of stasis traces the grey subjectivities behind bottom-up processes and mass production as a negotiation in movement.

Display Distribute ist zugleich thematische Untersuchung, ein Vertriebsservice, Ausstellungsraum und manchmal auch ein Geschäft in Kowloon, Hongkong. Der Versand nach Berlin ist keine Frage, die zwangsläufig Bewegung impliziert, in diesem Fall ist er vielmehr eine auf Dauer angelegte Taktik des Verbleibens an einem Ort. Eingehende Packstücke, Kisten und Päckchen stapeln sich, wodurch das Museum zu einer Zollabfertigung, einem Frachtdepot wird, das sich hier für zehn Tage einmietet. Künstlerische Leistungen und Logistik verbindet, dass sie auf administrativer und institutioneller Ebene ein hohes Maß an Multifunktionalität auszeichnet. Beginnend während des Festivals und bis mitten hinein in die darauffolgende Kunstbuchmesse, weist dieser anti-spektakuläre Moment des Stillstands durch Verhandlungen von Bewegung auf die grauen Subjektivitäten hin, die sich hinter hierarchischen Prozessen und Massenproduktion verbergen.
